Terms and Conditions for Carpet Cleaners SE19

Carpet cleaning service in progress with professional equipmentThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which carpet cleaning services are provided by Carpet Cleaners SE19. By making a booking, the customer agrees to these terms in full. They are designed to create a clear understanding of the service process, payment arrangements, responsibilities, limitations of liability, and compliance with applicable UK waste rules. These terms apply to domestic and commercial carpet cleaning, as well as related soft furnishing and rug cleaning services where agreed in advance.

For the purposes of these terms, references to “we”, “us” and “our” mean the service provider, and references to “you” and “your” mean the customer, client, or person arranging the booking. The terms below should be read carefully before any appointment is confirmed. If any part of these terms is not understood, the customer should raise the matter before the service begins.

Customer booking confirmation for carpet cleaning servicesWe reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updated version will apply to future bookings only, unless otherwise required by law or agreed separately in writing. The latest version of the terms will always govern the service arrangement for any new appointment.

The booking process begins when you request a quotation or make an enquiry for carpet cleaners in SE19 or related cleaning services. Any quotation provided is based on the information supplied at the time, including room size, carpet condition, fabric type, access conditions, stain issues, parking restrictions, and any special requirements. A quote is not a binding fixed price until we have confirmed the booking and verified the service details where necessary.

Once a booking request is accepted, we may confirm the appointment by verbal or written agreement, including email, text message, or other recorded communication. It is your responsibility to ensure that the appointment details are correct, including date, time, address, access instructions, and the areas to be cleaned. Where cleaning requirements change after booking, we may revise the price, timing, or equipment required to complete the work properly.

Technician preparing a carpet cleaning area before treatmentYou must ensure that the property is ready for the appointment at the agreed time. This includes reasonable access to the cleaning areas, availability of electricity and water, and removal of fragile or valuable items from the working area. Where furniture must be moved, this must be agreed in advance. We are not responsible for delays caused by unsuitable access, missing information, or inability to enter the premises at the arranged time.

All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise agreed. Unless expressly confirmed, quotations are based on the information available at the time of booking and may be adjusted if the actual work differs materially from the description provided. Such differences may include significant staining, heavy soiling, post-tenancy contamination, urine treatment, mould-related issues, or additional treatment requested on site.

Payments are due according to the terms agreed at the time of booking or upon completion of the service. We may accept payment by bank transfer, card payment, cash, or another method agreed in advance. In some cases, a deposit may be requested to secure the appointment, particularly for larger jobs, specialist work, or appointments requiring scheduled allocation of staff and equipment. Any deposit paid may be non-refundable where stated at the time of booking.

Late payment may result in additional charges permitted by law, including recovery costs for overdue balances. If payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to suspend further work, withhold completion documentation, or pursue the debt through lawful means. Any discounts, promotional rates, or package prices only apply where the relevant conditions have been satisfied in full and may be withdrawn if the booking details change.

Cancellations and rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible. If you cancel a booking more than 48 hours before the agreed time, no cancellation fee may apply unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. If you cancel with shorter notice, or if we are unable to access the property at the agreed time, a cancellation charge may be applied to cover lost time, travel, and preparation costs.

Where a deposit has been paid, its treatment will depend on the terms presented when the booking was made. Deposits may be retained in full or in part if cancellation is made late, if access is refused, or if the appointment cannot proceed because the property is not available as agreed. If we need to cancel or rearrange due to illness, equipment failure, traffic disruption, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will use reasonable efforts to offer a new appointment at the earliest suitable time.

We are not liable for missed appointments caused by incorrect addresses, poor communication, unsafe conditions, lack of access, or the failure of the customer to provide the agreed facilities. If the service is delayed by factors outside our control, including severe weather, road closures, emergency incidents, or power supply problems, we will not be liable for any indirect loss arising from the delay.

Professional carpet cleaner handling waste and cleaning materials responsiblyWe will use reasonable skill and care when providing carpet cleaning and associated services. The methods used may include hot water extraction, low-moisture cleaning, stain treatment, deodorising, and specialist spot removal, depending on the fabric and condition of the carpet or textile. Because different fibres and dyes respond differently to cleaning products, we cannot guarantee complete stain removal, colour restoration, or the elimination of every odour.

Customers must notify us before the service begins of any known issues such as dye instability, previous water damage, moth damage, shrinkage risk, delicate materials, or areas that have already been treated with chemicals. We may refuse to clean items that appear unsuitable for wet cleaning or that present a risk of damage. Where a customer insists on a method contrary to our professional recommendation, any resulting damage will be at the customer’s risk to the extent permitted by law.

Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the extent permitted under UK law. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, weak seams, poor carpet fitting, underlying floor issues, or deterioration caused by normal wear and tear. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Finished carpet cleaning appointment with clean interior flooringIf damage is alleged, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible and provide a fair opportunity for inspection. Claims should be supported by clear information, including a description of the issue and, where appropriate, photographs taken before and after the service. We may decline responsibility where the item was not cleaned by us, where the damage was not reported promptly, or where the cause cannot reasonably be linked to our work.

We do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of rental income, inconvenience, or the cost of alternative accommodation or replacement items, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law. If any liability is established, our total liability for any single claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question, unless a different limit is required by law.

All cleaning chemicals and waste materials will be handled with care and in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations. Waste water, used cloths, vacuum debris, packaging, and contaminated residues will be disposed of responsibly. We will not intentionally discharge polluted water or cleaning waste in a manner that breaches environmental or local authority requirements. Where waste transfer, collection, or disposal arrangements are needed, these will be carried out in a lawful and proportionate manner.

Customers must ensure that any items removed from the property for cleaning or disposal are legally owned by them or that they have authority to arrange the service. We are not responsible for items that the customer asks us to move, discard, or clean if such instructions are later disputed by another person. If we reasonably believe that an item may not be suitable for cleaning, or that further handling may create a waste or contamination risk, we may decline to proceed with that item.

Where animal waste, bodily fluids, mould contamination, or heavily soiled materials are present, we may apply additional safety measures, require specialist treatment, or refuse the work if the conditions are unsafe. Any related waste will be treated as appropriate to its nature and handled in line with relevant regulations and professional standards. The customer must inform us in advance of any hazardous, bio-contaminated, or restricted waste present on the premises.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the property complies with health and safety requirements relevant to the work being carried out. This includes making us aware of pets, children, vulnerable occupants, exposed wiring, slippery surfaces, restricted ventilation, or any condition that could affect the safe completion of the service. We may pause or stop work where continuing would create an unacceptable risk.

All materials, equipment, cleaning solutions, and methods used by us remain our choice unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may substitute products or techniques where necessary to achieve the best possible result or to protect the carpet fibres and surrounding surfaces. Any advice we provide regarding aftercare, drying time, or restricted use of the cleaned area should be followed to reduce the risk of re-soiling or damage.

The customer agrees not to use the cleaned area until it is sufficiently dry and safe to walk on. Drying times vary according to ventilation, carpet type, weather, cleaning method, and room conditions. We are not responsible for marks, tracking, or damage caused by premature use of the area, re-entry before drying, or failure to follow aftercare instructions. If furniture is replaced too early, the customer accepts the risk of indentations, transfer marks, or moisture-related issues.

Where the service includes stain treatment, the result may depend on the age of the stain, the chemical composition of the substance, prior cleaning attempts, and the condition of the carpet pile. Some stains may lighten but not disappear completely. Likewise, odour treatment may reduce unpleasant smells but cannot always eliminate a source problem hidden beneath the surface. These variations are part of the normal limitations of professional carpet cleaning.

We may take reasonable photographs before, during, or after the service for quality control, internal record-keeping, and claim assessment. Such images will be used only for legitimate business purposes and handled in a manner consistent with applicable data protection obligations. We will not use customer information for unrelated purposes without a lawful basis.

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, industrial action, national emergency, shortage of equipment, supply disruption, or severe transport problems. If such an event occurs, performance may be delayed or suspended for the period of the event. We will act reasonably and may agree a revised date or alternative arrangement where practical.

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the service, unless modified in writing. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. No delay or failure by us to enforce any term shall be treated as a waiver of our rights.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer where applicable. If the service is purchased by a business, different rules may apply to trade customers where agreed. Any dispute should first be raised in good faith so that a practical solution can be considered. We may ask for evidence, explanations, or supporting documents before accepting any claim or refund request.

Governing law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or connected with the service, the booking, payment, cancellation, or liability shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

By proceeding with a booking for carpet cleaning services, Carpet Cleaners SE19, or any related cleaning appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. The agreement is intended to protect both parties by setting clear expectations, ensuring lawful handling of waste, and establishing fair standards for payment, care, and responsibility throughout the service.
